The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) conducted a raid at the Office of the Department of Manpower and Transmigration (Disnakertrans) of Bengkulu Province following a recent operation to catch hand (OTT). The KPK team arrived at the office on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at approximately 15:00 WIB. The raid took place in the office of the Head of Disnakertrans, with the investigators escorted by armed police officers.
In addition to the raid, the KPK also questioned the Head of Disnakertrans, Syarifudin. At around 17:00 WIB, KPK investigators, accompanied by police officers, were seen leaving the office with a suitcase containing documents related to the alleged extortion by the three suspects who were recently named by the KPK.
When questioned, Syarifudin declined to comment and only smiled as he headed to his official vehicle.
Earlier, on December 4, 2024, the KPK had also searched several rooms in the Bengkulu Governor’s Office, the Regional Secretary’s Office, and the General Bureau.
It is known that the KPK has named Bengkulu Governor Rohidin Mersyah (RM) and two others as suspects in a corruption case involving extortion and bribery within the Bengkulu Provincial Government. The other two suspects are Bengkulu’s Regional Secretary Isnan Fajri (IF) and Governor’s aide Evrianshah (EV) alias Anca.
Following their designation as suspects, the KPK investigators immediately detained the three individuals for 20 days at the KPK detention center. The three suspects are charged with violating Articles 12 letter e and 12B of Law No. 31/1999, as amended by Law No. 20/2001, in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code (KUHP).
The case began with an OTT by the KPK on Saturday, November 23, 2024, in Bengkulu. The covert operation was based on information about alleged extortion targeting civil servants for campaign financing in the local elections. During the operation, eight individuals were arrested, but only three were named as suspects, while the other five were questioned as witnesses.
Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK) melakukan penggeledahan di Kantor Dinas Ketenagakerjaan dan Transmigrasi (Disnakertrans) Provinsi Bengkulu pada Kamis, 5 Desember 2024, sekitar pukul 15.00 WIB, setelah melaksanakan operasi tangkap tangan (OTT) sebelumnya. Penggeledahan tersebut dilakukan di ruang Kepala Disnakertrans, Syarifudin, yang juga turut diperiksa oleh penyidik KPK.
Selama penggeledahan, KPK membawa sebuah koper berisi dokumen-dokumen yang diduga terkait dengan dugaan pemerasan yang dilakukan oleh tiga tersangka yang telah ditetapkan oleh KPK. Setelah penggeledahan selesai, penyidik KPK yang dikawal polisi bersenjata lengkap terlihat meninggalkan kantor dengan koper tersebut.
Syarifudin, saat dimintai keterangan, enggan memberikan komentar dan hanya tersenyum sambil menuju mobil dinasnya. Sebelumnya, pada 4 Desember 2024, KPK juga telah melakukan penggeledahan di beberapa ruangan di Kantor Gubernur Bengkulu, Sekretaris Daerah, dan Biro Umum.
Dalam perkara ini, KPK telah menetapkan Gubernur Bengkulu Rohidin Mersyah, Sekretaris Daerah Isnan Fajri, dan ajudan Gubernur Evrianshah sebagai tersangka dalam kasus dugaan pemerasan dan gratifikasi. Ketiga tersangka telah ditahan oleh KPK selama 20 hari ke depan.
Penetapan tersangka ini berawal dari OTT yang dilakukan pada 23 November 2024, yang mengungkap dugaan pemerasan terhadap pegawai pemerintah daerah untuk pendanaan pilkada. Dalam operasi tersebut, delapan orang ditangkap, tetapi hanya tiga yang ditetapkan sebagai tersangka, sementara lima lainnya berstatus sebagai saksi.
